Greg:

I have had Neps produce aerial roots. (If you mean roots sprouting from
some point above the ground surface). However, it was usually in
situations where the plant was in very high humidity or where an older stem
was pressed against a wet glass surface. They look exactly like regular
roots (fine, black, fibrous).
