Subject: U. menziesii again

Hi There,
Well after a nice show of leaves my Utricularia menziesii
declined quickly. The remaining tuber rotted away shortly after.
Anyway in his book Adrian Slack described good growth for
two years (no flowering) and then a sharp decline. Peter Taylor
mentions "the plants grew successfully in the UK", but he may
have been talking of Slack's plants.
I obtained my tubers last year from Allan Lowrie and I am sure
many other peolple did also.
I would be gratefull to hear of any positive experience in the
cultivation of this plant.
I have a feeling it requires some type of fungal symbiosis,
which would probably mean the tubers are better left in their natural
habitat.
Glad to hear any comments or references.
Rich.
