They may be getting more sun than I realized; my S. alata is
developing some pink/red pigmentation on the hood.

Thanks so much for telling me that. I'm keeping it wet & in as much
sun as I can provide.

It's functional, alright! There is now a perpetual buzz audible
immediately around it.

Question for the group: does anyone know of a good source for tall
saucers on the net? Garden supply stores are in short supply in this
city of high-rises, & the ones I can find only have the $5 six-inch
pots, not the $1 ones. Not that it's all that much money, but it
offends me to pay more than a buck or 2 for 3 cents worth of
injection-molded plastic. I'm also looking for wider, flatter pots &
saucers for my low-lying Sarracenea. (or is it Sarracenia?)
<snip browning flava pitcher, VFT advice>
Thanks for the tips. No aphids, but I'll be re-potting the VFTs ASAP.

Amusingly, bn.com comes up with an "Intimate Moments" romance novel
when searching for that ISBN number. I've now ordered it from
amazon.com.
