Greetings. I'm new to CP. I'm just curious if there are any CP
enthusiasts online who also live in Ohio.
I'm a high school science teacher and have been growing 3 different
pitcher plants and some venus fly traps (sorry, I'm not familiar with
the scientific names...I teach chemistry and physics. :-) ). I've seen
on some of the websites and on some of the e-mails about aquariums.
I've come up with alternative that so far has been pretty successful.
I've been using Sterlite (similar to Rubbermaid) storage containers.
They are translucent, light to carry, and can drill holes in the bottom
of them for draining. I put plastic wrap over the top of it to allow
light to enter and keep the humidity up. For me, it is a lot easier,
safer, and versatile for me to use. The only disadvantage I've come
across is that you cannot view the plants from the side.
