Can perlite be used as a substitute for sand? I am not quite sure about the
rationale behind the use of sand with spahgnum moss, other than reducing the
total cost for the media. Perlite is relatively inert (spell?), and clean
(not perfectly sterile, though).
I used to read about Osmanda. Is there anybobody still using this? How about
coco peat or coco chips? *Supposedly* they work well for Nepenthes and such.
