I like to use a saturated solution of alkaline calciumhypochlorite,
with the addition of 1 % Tween 80 (or Tween 20, or another
surfactant), for at least 15 minutes (use the clear solution when the
excess of solid has precipitated after vigorous shaking). It's more
reproducible, because (commercial) solutions of sodium
hypochlorite may loose chlorine upon storage.
