Dear David & Cindy,

A BIG THANK YOU AND CONGRATULATIONS for the great meeting you managed
at San Francisco!

Dear All,

Once again participating in the ICPS conference was the most
significant event in the era for everyone with at least a marginal
interest in carnivorous plants. Certainly noone who has attended
was able to leave Fort Mason without being muddled with the loads of
new information and impressions from meeting so many experts on these
fascinating plants. Add the scenery of the Golden Gate, and you get
kicks that are difficult to emulate by other drugs! To stuff all this
into only three days is quite a challenge (for both organizers and
participants).

I am sorry that I was not able to say goodbye to all people I had
intended to, but with our rented RV we had to leave early on Sunday
in order to reach Gasquet in time. In Gasquet we had in turn to leave
early in order to reach Mt. Shasta, etc. So please do not feel
offended or ignored if we did not shake hands.

I am now back in Germany, and although the jetlag (plus a little
lost baggage adventure) is not as much of a problem as I expected, I
have to struggle with some three-weeks-out-of-office-phenomena, so
please be patient with me!

Kind regards
Jan
