I have recently installed fluorescence lights over my CPs. In
conjunction with bright shade, plus a few hours of direct sunlight,
the plants are now exposed to 24 hours of continuous light.
The CPs have responded positively - with more vigourous growth.
Would it harm the plants to have year round, long term non-stop
exposure to light ( artificial + bright shade + direct sun )?
Naturally, it would be a definite no no for plants that require a
dormancy period, but how about others such as Nepenthes which grows
throughout the year?
BTW, there are a wide variety of fluorescent tubes available - with
colour temperatures of 2000K to over 10000K, and with lumen output of
300lm to over 7000lm.
