It'll be fine as long as it doesn't pick up any minerals from the roof.

Seriously, you might want to have it tested to be sure, but if it
comes off the roof looking nice & clear it's probably okay. It's not
up there long enough to collect much pollution. Collect some, let it
sit. Look for sediment & scum. If it has neither, try it on a plant
or 2. I don't collect rainwater from my own roof, as it has lots of
visible stuff in it including bits of mica.
