Can the differences between plants from different areas give us an
indication of the length of time in which the plant has been separated from
it's original habitat. There is a significant difference in turion size
between Aldrovanda from Europe and Aldrovanda from Darwin. Some don't even
form turions.
I don't know if it is possible to make an accurate estimation but maybe one
of you knowledgable people out there has an idea about something like
Sarra's. There is a lot of variation between S. purpurea's over their range.
How long does it take for there to be a significant change?
Thanks
Greg
