_Dionaea_ and many other members of Nepenthales (remember the
conference) contain the naphthoquinone plumbagin and derivatives
thereof. These are the main toxic principle in Droseraceae. Only in
Dioncophyllaceae and Ancistrocladaceae, the quinones are augmented by
naphthylisoquinoline alkaloids, which are even more toxic.
