Hi Michael,

   It's quite common for vft's to throw up multiple flower stalks.
Just cut them back unless you really want to try and get some seed.
It's also quite common for traps to "leak" after they've caught
relatively large prey which can't be fully contained in the trap.
The digestive juices just start flowing, and the plant starts
drooling.

   The plant you describe sounds like liverwort. I wouldn't go back
to the nursery to purposely buy this plant. It's a real weed and
will grow extremely fast, smothering smaller plants. Unfortunately,
when you try to eliminate it, it usually takes large clumps of
soil with it, and often a peice will break off only to quickly
regrow. If you're really set on growing this plant, pot it up
separately and away from your vft's.
