This is normal when the pitcher catches too many flies. I think the
plant is unable to keep pace with the amount of flies caught so
bacterial action causes the pitcher wall to brown.

Just think of it as Sarracenia indigestion!

If you want pristine pitchers (for a show for example) consider
temporarily blocking the tops of the pitchers with cotton wool. I
sometimes do this.
