When I was in Japan (long time ago), it was the media I used the most. Pure
long-fibred sphagnum moss is (or was) a choice media for many CP growers
there. They preferred native sphagnum moss over NZ ones. However, the cost
of the native one was way too much, and NZ one got popular for economic
reasons. Sometimes, other substrates were added, and I thought one of the
reasons to do this was to reduce the total cost.
