Jay:
I have used Captan with success for both Nep. and Sarr. seed. I mix
according to directions and spray the medium both before and after sowing
the seed.
Chipco/Alliette(sp) also seems to work equally well. Benomyl has become so
hard to find, I haven't been able to compare it. BTW, Captan does bleach
out living sphagnum.

Howdy:
Does anyone on this forum have experience using hydrogen peroxide at 3% on
small Nepenthes? It has been used by orchid people to control crown rots in
monopodial species for some time - am curious whether this product might
"stay" the hand of the fungal/bacterial crown infections of seedling Neps.
Also - as a general prophylaxis against fungal blights in small Neps - what
is preferable - Captan or Benomyl?
