Subject: _N. burkei_ vs. _N. ventricosa_

Dear Phil,

_N. burkei_: peristome oblique, narrowly elliptic, pitchers only
slightly constricted in the central part and never appreciably
widened above. Not the plants you will usually find in cultivation.
So far not known from Luzon or any other easily accessible places on
the Philippines.

_N. ventricosa_: peristome horizontal, widely elliptic, pitchers
constricted in the central part and conspicuously widened above. Very
frequently cultivated in many forms and often wrongly identified
as _N. burkei_.

Kind regards
Jan
