Hey folks,
I recall reading a preprint by A. Ellison in which he found that, overall,
the best stratification of Sarracenia was with a 4 week moist period. He
used 4 C as his stratification temperature. Increasing up to 6 weeks did
not increase germination %, although it did decrease it in
S. leucophylla. Increasing the stratification to 6 weeks did speed
germination rates (not percentage) in S. jonesii and both S. purpurea
subspecies. A 2 week stratification period was not long enough.
Cheers
Barry
