Hey Fernando and listserver! Stratify the seed wet in
the refrigerator for one month. Put seed on medium(I
use sphagnum or cocopeat), bring the water level to
the top of the medium. It needs to be very wet for the
seed to germinate. Within 15-30 days the seed will
germinate. In natural light, the plants turn an
orange-red to a bronze color. The plant grows
year-round and it needs no dormancy. Floating the leaf
in water is wonderful way of asexual reproduction. I
consider the plant very easy to grow. If you have
problems germinating the seed after one month of
stratification, try treating the seed with GA3. 1000
parts per million. One gram of GA3 to one liter of
