After thinking that we had lost our N. mirabilis ssp. echistoma (it
dried out even though the terrarium has an inch or so of water in the
base below the pots), it turns out that it is producing at least seven
new shoots along the stem. (I'm not sure whether to be happy or not -
I'm sick of fussy Nepenthes!) The N. alata is still hanging in there
too, although one of the two stems may be dying back.
