Barry,
It is _U.simulans_ which occurs in the US. _U.fimbriata_ is (despite
the wide distribution of the name in the literature - due to confusion
with _U.simulans_ mostly) quite limited in geographical distribution in
S AM. Good you mention _U.nana_. So you have it - alive! I've seen
dried specimens of this species collected by a friend of mine in
Colombia (!). This is, at least to my knowledge the first record of
this species so far in the Western part of S AM (Fernandez-Perez doesn't
discuss this species and Taylor does not give Colombia in his
distribution notes).
