My most preferred growth media for Nepenthes is pure live
spahgnum. However, that's hard to get, so I have many of my
plants growing in a mixture of peat, perlite, and medium size
orchid bark. Joe Mazrimas has stated that w/out the bark
the mixture has a tendency to "collapse in" after a while.
Anyhow, I have a fairly coarse mixture which I'm growing
a number of species & hybrids in, and the ones which are in
the bark mixture are doing better than those I have in
plain peat and perlite.

I also have two 1 year old seedlings in straigt peat, and
they also seem to be doing OK, but I'm very careful how I
water them, as I don't want them to get waterlogged and
rot.
