I have my plants outside in peat moss/perlite (about 2:1), in a pot sitting
in a shallow tray of water and in full sun. When they were growing inside
they didn't look happy at all. My D. collinsiae are also outside but they
aren't doing as well. Winter growth on this species was very weak and the
rosettes are not only a few inches in diameter now.

Jan, is there a way to tell the difference between these two species?
I know D. collinsiae was presumed to be a fertile hybrid between
D. madagascariensis and D. burkeana by some botanists.
This D. madagascariensis seed was supposed to have been collected in
Transvaal, South Africa.
