Peter does use the tray method during the summer, but as I said
he lets the tray go dry between waterings. In the winter he does
NOT use the tray method. Last winter I lost a growth point to
rot because the soil was too moist, the days too dark, and the
weather too wet.
BTW, I view much of what Slack has to say with a critical eye.
