D. linearis: grown it?

Has anyone had success w/ D. linearis? I've heard it likes
short seasons, and that it can deal with acid soil even though
it's in alkaline soil in nature. I'm thinking of trying to
order the species, but only if I have a reasonable chance of
keeping it alive.
