At the recent BCPS meeting N. khasiana was autioned off.
In passing it was mentioned that this plant was so difficult
to grow from stem cuttings that seed was the only reliable
method of reproduction. This was news to me, but it reminded
me that the one Nepenthes cutting I failed to root was of
this species. Later, Joe Mazrimas was overheard to say that
the species can be rooted, but you must use a very sharp
razor knife to make the cutting.
N. khasiana is apparently grown for the upper pitchers, according
to Slack, but I'm interested in the species because it can deal
with cooler temps fairly well.
