To whoever was asking about seeing Nepenthes in the wild, Mt. Kinabalu in
Borneo is the #1 place. I posted two references on the area a few days ago.
>From what I've heard, if you have a chance to go you shouldn't pass it up.
There's also an article in a National Geographic from 1964 about the
Nepenthes on Mt. Kinabalu. There's no real mountain-climbing involved. The
whole mountain is a nature preserve with many foot-trails. Even a few
high-class hotels are there, or are being built. No collecting of any
sort (even of seeds) is allowed on the mountain.

Tom Johnson told me in a letter he plans on moving back to California
perminantly. His address is:

Chula Orchids has "Schomburgkia tibicinus" - the one cited in the list
of CP citations I posted a few days ago. This is a large plant that produces
flower spikes up to 6 feet tall, or if the plant is in a shady area - 12 feet.
Mature plants are $35. Small plants are $15, medium plants are $25.
They also have Keiki Paste - $6 per tube if you buy more than $35 worth of
plants, $9 per tube otherwise. If you like orchids, they have lots of
species - everybody should have a Neofinetia falcata and a Brassavola nodosa.
These two produce great-smelling flowers and cost $15 each. Larger B. nodosa
plants are $20 and $25 (these are mounted on cork slabs). Small bare-root
divisions of B. nodosa are $10. You can write for a catalog to:
