Hi Folks,
There is an interesting paper on the carnivory in _Heliamphora_:
Jaffe, K., Michelangeli, F., Gonzalez, J.M., Miras, B., & Ruiz, M.C.
"Carnivory in pitcher plants of the genus _Heliamphora_ (Sarraceniaceae:
Sorry, Miloslav, your revision seems not to have been accepted 8-)
New Phytologist (1992) 122:733-743"
Carnivorous habit is proved for _H.tatei_. The other species lack proteolytic
enzymes but they have still a good deal of features contributing to the
"carnivorous syndrome". The authors conclude "...that all _Heliamphora_ species
are highly developed true carnivores." (l.c.:742).

Sorry to all who have known of this paper already.
Kind regards
Jan
