I *once* used either a summer or winter oil spray to kill off scale on some
U. longifolia and some Sarracenias. Within a couple of days all of the Utric
leaves, and the young Sarra leaves, had shrivelled up. Killed the scale,
though... ;-)

Avoid oil sprays! The cheapest, simplest and messiest pest killer is your
finger/fingernails or Size 10 boot (depending on the size of critter...)
