Another way to keep plastic from flapping in the wind is to use a small
blower to blow air between the layers of film. This not only lessens the
flap and the noise that it makes but also helps in keeping in heat. It
also makes the whole house stronger by distributing the wind or snow load
over the entire frame instead of one spot. You have to make sure that
the edges are sealed tightly to keep the air in, and you only need a
small blower. Mine is a 60 CFM blower with a damper over the inlet and
it keeps my 12x20 hoop house inflated with the damper completely closed.
That size fan will inflate a 30x96 foot house.
