Werner:

Perry gave you fine advice. Assuming your plants are _Sarracenia_
(the pitchers sticking out of a rosette at ground level), just let them
get chilly, around 35--55 F, and they'll get the hint. Don't subject
them to prolonged freezing conditions. If you have a small collection
you could perhaps put them on an enclosed patio or mud room? Nice and
out of the way til the spring. Same for the VFTs.

Of course, _Nepenthes_ pitcher plants---where the pitchers are produced
on tendrils at the ends of leaves on a vine---know no seasons. Keep
them warm year-round.

I suspect you should grow the pineapples year-round too. They are tropical
bromeliads. Of course, our Hawaiian correspondent Earl would know much
more about these....

Oh, a reminder to all, perhaps. Don't forget when quoting temperatures,
to indicate the system you're using. e.g., for dormancy purposes, I try
to keep my _Sarracenia_ around 280, 280 K that is!
