In my observation, the cactus and succulent crowd contains about an even mix
of males to females. However, nearly all the "big names" in cac.&succ. are
men (with a few notable exceptions, ie. Helia-Bravo, with her three vol.
Cactaceae of Mexico).
Virtually ALL cactus-heads are senior citizens.
