There is a herp newsgroup - rec.pets.herp I think. This mainly seems to cover
the various feeding habits of iguanas etc., and certain other, um, bodily
functions. I'm currently looking after a Dainty Green Tree Frog which was
rescued from a bunch of bananas by my sister... I'll soon have to give it to
the zoo (if they'll take it!) as I need a license to keep it here. This is a
bit of a Catch-22 situation as you can't apply for a license if you have
unlicensed animals... I hope to get hold of a pair of "local" geckos (which
don't require licensing) as these should be a little less trouble to keep than
the frog. Hopefully they'll like the mealworms I bought... (#@$# fussy frogs!)
