Neps are native to places near the equator. If you can supply enough
light, they'll do well with a 12 hour photoperiod. If you have flourescent
lights, you should extend the period to 16 or 18 hours to compensate
for light that is not as intense as natural sunlight.

The CPN seed bank has N. x (ventricosa x ??). There were a lot of seeds
in the packet Thomas Johnson sent me. Allen Lowrie usually has a few species
available. His packet of N. lowii never did germinate, but his N. vieillardii
germinated well. I'm trying to get a group together to buy Neps from
Andreas Wistuba in Germany. I sent a letter last week and we should know
more at the end of this month.
