There was an interesting TV show on bogs a week or two ago.
It mentioned that the English/Scottish peat industry had
decimated bogs in that country, and that the (as I recall)
Dutch bogs were pretty much gone. The Canadian peat growers
are trying to practice bog conservation, but it's unclear
how well it works. And peat use is one the rise :-(.
