For those of you who asked me for _Sarracenia_ seed...

************************
Hey:

OK, I've finished dividing the seeds up and was able to pretty much give
everyone what they asked for. I was pretty pleased with the number of seeds
that went into each packet, but in a few had to put a few less than I'd
prefer (perhaps maybe only 15 seeds). But the seeds are fresh, and with any
luck you should get about 50---100% germination. Next time, though, maybe
I'll just send the seed to seedbanks as I usually do---too many damned
little envelopes!

When you get the seed, I suggest you plant it all immediately. Just dribble
the seeds on the surface of moist _Sphagnum_ (dead) or a peat/sand mix. Keep
them moist thereafter. They should be kept chilly, about 0---10 C for at
least about 3 weeks. Some do this (stratification) in the refrigerator
and some just in a chilly room.

I will send the seed to you when I receive a letter from you. I would like
you to send me a self-addressed envelope. Don't put postage on it because
I don't know what the various rates will be. But do please include $1 USA
per seed packet. Non US, just use a reasonable amount of whatever paper
currency is convenient. Don't send checks or other exotic things because I
don't want to bother with a bunch of tiny-valued checks. If you really balk
at sending a few bucks through the mail, just send the envelope and I won't
be too irritated. (You could also send a few international reply coupons,
but that's a real bother.
Below is a list of how many seed packets I've got sitting
in the refrigerator waiting for your letter...

The seed packets are all labelled, with the following bit of intrigue:
_S.flava_ "A" is a cross between a plant with a throat splotch and light
red veins with various veined, slightly copper-lidded plants from North
Carolina.

_S.flava_ "B" is a cross between _S.flava var. rugelii_ and a tall green
plant.

All the _S.flava_ are, of course, pure species. These are just descriptions
of the colourations of the parent _S.flava_ plants.
