That's the first I've heard of New Guinea being a tourist trap - maybe it's
a well kept secret... Bali is probably the biggest overseas tropical T.T.
for Aussies (any Nepenthes of interest there?).

My uncle did his PhD research in a village in New Guinea, and although he
took many ("interesting" ;-) ) photographs of various flora specimens, he
didn't find any Nepenthes.
