Mark asks: >Does anyone know which species one might encounter in Cuba? Are there >any that are particular to Cuba? Here in the U.S., we don't get to hear >much in the way of Cuban botanical news, and I was just wondering.
I collected in Cuba in the late 50s, but at the time was interested in
orchids and bromiliads. However, you might try to get the Flora of
Cuba by Brother Leon. I have the 5 v. set (1955) at home. There is
a 5 v. in 3 set that came out in 1974. Publisher is Koenigstein, Otto
Koeltz Science Publishers. I will try to contact a friend at the
Univ. of Havana tonight and see if I can get info specifically on
the cps of Cuba.
