My plants of D. capensis self seed all over the place, while
D. binata doesn't. If this is generally true, it would seem advisable
to try to use the capensis pollen on the binata, so will know that
it hasn't selfed.

I don't know what the logic of this stamen/stigma distance business is.

I'm pleased to be back on line again (at least one person saw my
plaintive cries in NEWS rec.gardens). I gather I was 'suspended'
because some cp messages for me had bounced - don't know why.
