He showed the whole thing at the 1st NE CP meeting at Taylors. Its more
like a tape about the tepuis environment with a concentration on cp. My
memory's a bit fuzzy but I think that I remember some good photos of
Heliamphora. I also recall a huge Utric flower (almost as tall as Bill)
that was blood red in color. If I recall correctly, he had a helicopter
pilot take him to the top of one of the tepuis and got a look at some of
the species there. Looked like a Drosera (close to intermedia) and some
Utric in flower (sorry I can't be more specific).
He shot the tapes with an ordinary hand-held video cam, so the picture
quality is of that caliber, although his shots were well composed. If
Cheers book is do-able at $40, I would say that this is worth the $30.
One thing that I remember him harping on is the fact that he spent about
18 hours editing this thing (it might even be more, I just remember him
saying something along that vein about 10 times while we were showing it
:) so this is not just a hastily thrown together video.
Hope I'm not leading you down the wrong road,
Davin
