Thanks for all the advice sent my way. I think I will bring the plants
bare-root on the airplane and assume nobody will care. Most of my plants
are orchids, however I will also be bring in a few each of Nepenthes,
Sarr., Utric., and Drosera. We will be living in Three Arch Bay; one
of those gated beach communities south of Laguna Beach. My family has
a house there that is sitting empty so my wife and I were offered it
for a few months. How could we refuse! I am a native Californian so
earthquakes don't scare me (although maybe the last one would have).
We will be moving in about 3 weeks and, although I like New Jersey very
much, I am looking forward to leaving this snow behind.
