I was reading through a book on mushrooms that I recently bought on a
plant excursion with Michael Chamberland of this list (Mushrooms
Demystified)---a nice little book about 950 pages long, and I
came across the interesting entry...
``....and it has recently been shown that several wood-rotting fungi
(including the oyster mushroom) supplement their diet by digesting
nematodes.''
So, if you *really* want to round out your collection of CP with some
CFs (Carnivorous Fungi) you need look no further than your specialty
catalogues which offer mushroom-impregnated logs with which to grow those
tasty oyster mushrooms (known as _Pleurotus ostreatus_ to initiates). Better
yet, just head down to the grocery store for some ingredients for a mushroom
and snow-pea and swiss cheese burrito! Hmmmm!
