Peltier devices

As an addendum to my post on Peltier devices used for cooling,
I must say that originally this effect was described in
thermocouple devices and not semiconductor junctions. The
effect will be present in some semiconductor junctions as
well, but now I think that the commercial devices use
thermocouples (junctions between two dissimilar metals).

I just didn't want the physicists out there to jump on
my case :)
