The Sarracenia pots should be as small as possible. That way you
can grow more types in your growing space.

Actually, this is not crucial. I grow seedlings in 2" pots, flowering
plants with one or two crowns in 4" pots, and when my plant get really
big I put them in gallon or larger containers. The plants will tell you
when they would like a bigger pot by growing out of the bottom of the
pot. The first year they do this, I just upend the pot, pull out the root
ball, then lower it back into the pot. The second year I repot the plant
into a bigger pot.

I hope you non-US readers enjoy the occasional use of inches and gallons
on this line. Isn't it quaint?

Soaps:
I also remember that Safer's soap is not too different from diluted
dishwashing soap (although I'd stick with the insecticidal product for
my plants, just as I don't wash the dishes with Safer's), but that both
products are very different from ``detergents''.

Plural forms of Genera:
I've seen this debate before, and suspect there's not a consensus answer.
So I avoid the issue mostly by various tricks like putting the plural on
other words, i.e. ``many Utricularia species'' or ``many taxa of Sarracenia''.
But I have also seen, and adopted, the usage that the genus name is not
modified at all in plural form, just as the plural of ``species'' is
``species''. So I may mention ``various Utricularia'' or ``most Sarracenia''
etc. I don't know if this is correct, but I've never been nailed for it.
If I were to form a plural, I'd certainly use the ``Sarraceniae'' form,
but don't like to. Trying this to list species of Genlisea or colour forms of
Dionaea (Genliseae?? Dionaeae??) would just be a dreadful mess!

P.S. Of course, don't trust me too much because I also call 'em
Pings, Utrics, Sarrs, and VFTs!
