A perhaps more realistic scenario is that such meteor showers may have
locally created some type of radiation or chromosome-altering situation
which may have initially created VFT precursors... [I think this has been
mentioned in literature before; won't claim it as an original.]
Does anyone know anything about the relationship of the timing of the
alleged meteorite showers vs. "evolution time" for traits within
Droseraceae or related taxa? -philip thomas
