I have raised D. capensis and D. bumanni. With both, I wait until the
particular seed pod has matured and dryed and then I clip it off
(carefully!) and open it over white paper to collect the seed. D.
capensis in particular produces very prodigious amounts of seed and can
become quite weedy!
