I'm new here, but I know one thing fruit flies really, really,
really love! I got some potting soil once (not for CPs, but
regular old-fashioned houseplants) that was really cheap
stuff. I noticed that the water ran out of the bottom of the
soil and was literally blood red. That was month's ago
and it still runs blood red, despite leaching. The fruit flies
love it! The brand is "Vita Hume" and costs about $0.57
at Walmart for 1 cubic ft or whatever those large plastic
bags are. (Despite being blood red, it doesn't smell bad,
just makes your concrete look like you killed something
red blooded).
