Well, my Pings and Drosera live in an enclosed terrarium, and can
not access gnats (unless I put them there). While I have attempted
to grow fruit flies inside, nothing really ever seemed to eat them.
So lately I've been dropping little ants on top of the Pings, and
stuffing mostly dead flies into my Dionea.

Is this what I must do to keep my little plants happy?

Sorry for delay. Lost my INBOX!!!!

You don't need to feed Pings. If you keep a terrarium long enough
you'll eventually find enough flies find their way in but Pings don't
need flies anyway. If you can keep flies out and want to pep up the
plants, feed with a foliar spray at one quarter of the recommended
dose, once a month, whilst plants are in growth.

I'm less sure for droseras but guess the same is true.
