The bogus message is just a compressed version of the
most recent CP digest (oct 23rd messages). THe same thing is
happening on the cactus list. Both these list are centered
at Hewlett Packard so it probably is a mail/resend phenomena.
No apparent criminal intent involved. I expect Rick will
fix it when he gets up ;-).
The Election: Not to rain on anyones parade and not to dimiss
those persons who have volunteered to run for office, but
apparently the *most* pressing reason to get officers elected
this year is to satisfy the United States Infernal Revenue folks
(the Tax Collectors) that the ICPS is a non-profit organization.
Please note that I said most pressing, not most important. According
to Don Schnell it has to be done this year and as Steve Baker pointed
out there is no excuse for the procrastination/apathy.
