While we're on this subject... Does anybody have tips on how to
germinate Genlisea hispidula seed? I have tried to germinate
seed straight-from-the-pod using sterile en vitro and non-sterile
en vivo techniques and, thus far, have achieved absolutely no
success. My plants (several different clones) set abundant seed
annually. Growing naturally in the sub-tropical coastal regions
of eastern South Africa I assumed that the seed would not require
a period of cold stratification, but I am willing to try anything
at this stage. Any ideas?
