It's interesting to hear that P. vulgaris L. is
very habitat specific in America. In Sweden (and
Europe) I have found it in many different
habitats; in wet pastures, bogs, along streams and
typically along new-built roads. As long as its
moist, sunny and no competition from other plants
it seems to thrive.
Nice to hear from a botanist who doesn't try to
split everything in new species.
